Online Accounting

There are an increasing number of options available for people interested in 'Online Accounting'. Firstly you can choose proprietary online only software, or you can choose software that can be run on your own computers if you want to. You can choose to take a service from a software vendor, or you can choose to take a service from a service provider. You can choose to take a service that only offers a single product (and only a single version of that product) or a service that provides a choice of products and versions. You can choose to take a service using dedicated hardware resources for each customer or a service providing all customer with access to shared infrastructure. There is also the option of enabling 'anywhere access' to software that runs at your offices.

If you choose to use the Online50 service you are choosing a service that:

  • Uses standard software that you can choose to run elsewhere
  • Is offered by a service provider independent of the software authors
  • Offers different products from different vendors and different versions of those products
  • Uses shared infrastructure to provide all customers access to the highest levels of performance, security and resilience
  • Is hosted professionally using a purpose designed solution
